He does know how I feel. He just hasn't let me know how he feels. Its a complicated situation. But I have a feeling he likes me, I just sometimes get mixed feelings.

By being straightforward. Men in general and older men in particular are no nonsense, straightforward people. If you want him, the way to get him is to look him straight in the eye and tell him in no uncertain terms that you like him as more than a friend, and you intend for your relationship to change to reflect that.

Don't ruin the friendship. Find another older man to be a your boyfriend. Only suggestion to snag an older man is lots of compliments. Be attentive, affectionate and accepting. Be yourself. On the other hand, if you want this particular man I would suggest ask a lot of questions about relationships and committments. This way it gives you a general overview on his point of view about relationships. By the time you read this you may already have begun the dating procedure if so, take it slow...
