If you read consumer reports, or the car mags, than you know that the Nissan is not in the class of the Camry, or the Accord. However this does not mean it is a bad car, just not the very best in it's class. If you can use this to negotiate a better deal on the car with the dealership, than by all means do so.. Especially if you are a buyer who turns his or hers ride over every two to four years for a new one. If not than buy the Honda Accord. The Camry also will take you a long way with out a lot of problems. It is like this. Toyota and Honda vie back and forth over who builds the longest lasting, most dependable, and popular ride. Nissan, Mazda, and Subaru, than Suzuki, and whatever the Korean stuff is called nowadays are bringing up the bottom of the group. But in reality, none are particularly bad cars. Go with what your pocket book will allow , and what excites you for the buck, and figure in how long you will own the car. Have fun.

The biggest advantage in my opinion that the Maxima has.....the engine had been among the top 10 in the world every year since they started rating them 12 years ago....also..the engine has a metal timing chain...Toyota and Honda both have rubber belts....it is a far superior in every "ergonomic" aspect in its built...Toyota and Honda lack this.....much more attention to detail versus those ......check out the new "intell" key....no key is really required....computer or brain is in the passenger compartment protected from the elements...Toyo and Honda are in the ENGINE COMPARTMENT!!.....ABS actuator is located in the right front fender area.....Maxima's is protected behind the engine!!......Maxima is a much superior vehicle to its competitors.....you won't go wrong!!! Enjoy the ride!!

i would for the sheer power, and i believe the 2007 maxima comes with CVT, which means no shift shock if you drive auto, if you drive manual, then it depends on how good you shift now doesnt it. CVT also means better gas mileage. Also the maxima is quite luxurious, but also a theft magnet.
