what i wanna know is what do i need to have a good car system..do i need a amp sub and all that?

Yes you will need an amp and a sub for a banging system. If you want a great sounding system in a car you will need to replace the front speakers, deaden doors, get a sub, replace head unit, find some form of EQ and have enough amp channels to power all the speakers. If buying new, youll need at least $800.
But if you just want it to bang. An amp with a sub to your factory unit will work.

For someone just getting into the car audio scene I think your best and easiest option is to check out Crutchfield.com and look into replacing your factory speakers first. There is a “What fits my car” feature that can show you everything that fits your particular model of vehicle. Now as for a “bangin” system you will definitely want a sub or two, as well as replacements for all the factory speakers.
If you're looking for ideas personally I would go with A Kenwood head unit, and Infinity for your speakers all the way around. As far as amp's go it's a toss up between Kenwood and Infinity.
There are literally thousands off possibilities for what you could install and it all comes down to your brand preference and the size of your pocketbook.

Personally, I am an Alpine Man myself. I like the looks, I like the sound, I like the price (the big one is the last one there...)
I'll give you a list, and you can decide where "banging" falls
Stock system: Crap speakers that sound nice with a crap header. Good for those who like it mellow.
Stock speakers + New Header: Crap speakers that sound BETTER with good header. Good for those who like a bit more out of their sound.
New Speakers + New Header: OOOOOO! Good sound! Good for those who like good sound with not too much bass.
New Speakers + New Header + Good Amp and Sub: WOW Look at my mirror shake! Good for those who like a little more (to alot more) bass.
New Speakers + 4 Channel Amp for New Speakers + New Header + Good Amps and Subs: WHAT?! You won't hear a thing... Good for those who like being deaf, or who want to compete.
So... there you go...

well if you want a banging system you should go to the store and buy your self some L7's kickers and a performens technich 3000 watts and you will be banging
