Hello everyone, I was told by my dentist that jaw's can be pulled forward of pushed back. I want a more defined jaw line that doesn't make my face look like It's sucked in. I think loosing weight may also help, but I cant really change my jaw structure just by loosing fat around my face. Please help is there any kind of reconstructive jaw sergery or treatment that I could do?

You would be surprised at how much losing some weight will give you a more defined jaw. I used to think I just had a jaw that wouldn't be pronounced, but after losing about 20 lbs I can definitely see it - in fact, I notice it everyday because I like how it looks. I'm sorry I can't help you about surgery; I just wanted to tell you my experience. Jaws aren't really good to mess with though, reconstructive surgery I've heard can be really painful.

losing weight is a good idea and does not cost u anything to try.

but if u want an ultimate answer , it is reconstructive jaw surgery. there are many types of it depending on you facial hight and profile , and on the relationship there is between ur teeth. i am a dentist but it's hard to judge without proper examination. you need to see an orthodontist and then be referred to a maxillofacial surgeon
