This will be my first tattoo, but I already have plans drawn out for a couple of other ones I want to get too. It's going to be a hand making a peace sign on the back of my right shoulder. It'll probably be about 7 or 8 inches long and about 4 inches across. I want it to just be black and grey, and to look kind of like a charcoal drawing. I just wanted to know, about how much will this end up costing? Thanks for any advice

every tattoo artist charges differently. try to stay away from artists that charge per hour, because frankly, they can go as quickly or as slow as they want too. my usual place charges by the size and area where the tattoo will go. from what you are describing a tattoo artist may charge anywhere from $100-200, but that is just from personal experience. the charge may be different depending on where you live as well. hope this helps.

This is not a question that anyone on here is going to be able to answer for you.

Every shop and every individual artist has their own ways of tattooing, and therefore each one will give you a different price quote.

Take your design to a shop you trust and feel comfortable with, and ask them to give you an idea about the price. It's not a big deal, this is their job.

Also, do not decide which artist to go to by looking for the lowest price.
Often the price is going to reflect their work, and cheap work means tattoos that aren't as nice.

Look through their portfolios or photo albums of work that they've done. (Any respectable artist will have many photos and proof of their work.)

Decide which artist's work you like the best, and talk to them about how you would like yours to look. :)

Good luck!

Depends on the artist and shop, all have minimums, but some will charge hourly for custom work instead of giving you a set price

It also depends on size, detail, location, skill required, ink and how much is needed.

You need to take you tattoo image to them in person, and ask.

GO TO A TATTOO ARTIST. It's crazy cool how they can give you prices on this kind of stuff.

depends on how much detail you want and how much experience the artist has. i would do that for 10 bucks, but that's because i have NO artistic talent whatsoever. i think you'd be looking at something around 200-300 dollars.

You really just need to ask around the different shops, it varies but don't go cheap.

I think $200-$300, including tip. Have fun.

you would have to ask at the shop you plan on going to... prices vary from state to state, city to city, etc
