Is it a canker sore? If so, soak a q-tip in peroxide and put it directly on it for a few seconds. It won't sting or anything (not like the medicines at the store do). It should clear up quickly. I get them often after eating fruits high in acid like pineapple or after drinking orange juice. Very annoying.

To keep them from coming back, I recommend using Listerine (or the generic equivalent) after you brush your teeth every day. It helps to prevent them.

NO Fever. I tried everthing so I inspiration... Your sinuses drain, and with flawed drainage comes headaches too. Nonetheless, most people don't recognize that whilst you sleep your sinuses drain and you get up with a morning hoarse sore throat. What I had was once a customary publish nasal drip, which snot drips into your throat causing irritation (scratchy) for that reason slightly chin' sore throat that doesn't look to want to go away. I used an over-the-counter antihistimine known as Claritin (Loratadine) 10mg as soon as a day and the sore throat symptom stopped that same day / evening. Additionally, use 12 hour pseudoephedrine called Sudogest 12 hour, this may occasionally dry up the snot. Use both for a number of days.... And if this is the case, you're going to get better. They work like a allure!!! Gargle heat salt water too.

get an asprin and put a bit of water on it with a q-tip. make a paste and put it on the sore. it goes away within like a day or two after. plus i think it feels good! or go to a health food store and get a zinc lozenge and suck on it. that works fast too.

Gargle with warm salt water ... one tsp. salt to 6oz warm water. Don't eat hot or spicy foods ... it irritates the lining of the mouth. Those lil' buggers hurt eh? Good luck ......

My dad swears by pomegranate juice. I usually just gargle with hydroxide peroxide and brush regularly, though.
