On Saturday I got a hair cut with this one lady and she cut it really nice so today I thought I would get some highlights. I went in at 4:30 and didnt get out till 9:30! She didnt even start on my hair until 8! She didnt color it the correct colors, it was supposed to be a light coppery brown but its an orangey blonde! And worst of all, she charged me $80!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and she only put four pieces of foil in my hair! I so got my *** ripped off!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does anyone have any suggestions on an inexpensive way to fix these ghetto *** highlights??

Go there and get a refund.

Do NOT let her touch your hair again. If you don't see anyone else in the salon that is very skilled, take your business elsewhere. She is already incompetent, so don't dare trust her again - not to mention the rudeness of making you wait!

Call and talk to the manager, if there is not a manager then I would go to another salon and plead your case to them. A lot of other salons understand what you are going through and want you business and good words in the future. So, they might give you a good deal, unfortunately I don't think it will be free but at least you won't have "ghetto" hair. That is the worst, you don't want to go back to the idiot who messed up your hair but you have to do something. Please don't try anything on your own, it might really damage your hair. Just because someone is good at cutting hair doesn't necessarily mean that they know how to color. The salon that I go to has hair stylists and colorists, so that they are experts in just one thing! That makes sense!!!
Good Luck and sorry for your misfortune...I feel for you.

Dont you dare go back to that lady!! Chances are you are gonna have to spend the money to fix your hair!! but you definately need to do something!! Go back to this lady and ask her for a refund @ least 50%. This happen to me a couple of weeks ago...she didn't do 'em right and I paid $100...and I went back to the lady and ask her to fix it...luckly it came out ok!! but don't risk it!! go to someone else!!

if you had it done at a salon, i would suggest that you go back and insist on them fixing it free of charge. they want your business, so i'm sure that they'll take care of it. otherwise, i've heard that ash colors have a greenish tone that will negate the orange color. good luck.

Yes I agree with Petunia - go right back there and complain. Don't try to fix it yourself. You can't color over color and you will end up looking awful!!!

Go back and complain in front of customers...it will make them look bad so they will have to redo it and do it right.

yes, they will re do it for free. tell them tha you are NOT happy, its not what you asked for. honestly though, you waited 4 hours? i would have walked out after 45 minutes waiting for a 'stylist'.
