I would look up Confucius and also Taoism.

Buddhism may have more connection with Hinduism, which it reformed by going beyond the regimented caste system to teach transcendence of past karma, as Christianity liberated Judaism by moving from the letter of the law to the spirit of the law.

Worship of Sun ,Moon and Stars ,Thunder ,Darkness and Rain .
They all were gods at one time and science proved otherwise .
this is why religion fears scientific advances!

They had individual Taichung's, personal spiritual enlightenment's from local Masters.Taoism then came Confucius's teachings, then came the Buddha. then came Communism
