Honor your parents so you may have a long life. That would include your Spiritual Daddy.

God has given us a free-will to choose to seek and know him.

He also wnats the best for us, and longs to know us on an deep personal level as he "walked with Adam in the cool of the day" (Genesis)

He created us, and knows the best way for us to function and survive, so there are principals, and tolerance levels that we operate in best.

Eg, an ice cream will stay icy and maintain its intended character if it stays in the fridge

A person will stay healthy and emotionally physiologically well when they do not steal, do not lie, do not sleep around etc.

If we understand this we will have a much more effective and problem free life.

God leads us into all truth and life "for my plans are to prosper you and give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11)

He calls us to obey him to where he knows is best and safe.

Just as sheep is kept safe from the wolf by the shepherd

We too have limited site and need God to guide us into his purpose as we often canot see the "wolf"

No one knows when they are going to die either, but Gods calls us to where he knows is the right place, as he can see our lives from a greater perspective.

This is why we should obey him. It is the Wisest thing in the world to do.

Good Question!

Think about the PC. The guys at Intel when they manufactured the Processor chip, they want it to do the things they have 'designed' it for and they have every 'right' to demand this just because they have 'manufactured' it.

Think about any other machine or car or an aeroplane. When we have manufactured they we want it to function the 'safe' way. This 'safe' way is as per the instructions in the instruction manual.

Similarly Almighty GOD has 'CREATED' us, 'Designed' us. HE deserves the right to ask us to follow the 'Instructions' sent by him. These 'instructions' are for our well-being. These 'instructions' are 'safe' and will guarantee us a place in paradise if we 'submit' our 'will' to HIM.

ALmighty GOD sent instructions over periods of time. HE sent instructions for a small nation over a small period and then replaced it with new instructions. HE sent instructions as 'The Old Testament', 'The New Testament' etc.

Till he replaced all of them with 'The Final Testament' viz. The Quran and asked us to submit our will to HIM. (Submission pf one's will = Islam)

God wants us to obey him because He knows what's best for us. Because he is all goodness and trut, his way is the best way.

Though it might be hard to accept his way, look at Christ. He obeyed completely even to the point of death and he is granted eternal life. =^)

He does all these stuff for u..take 30 min. "For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God." (John 3: 20-21 )

God giveth the guidance: He then leaves you with a lot of freedom! He supervises, corrects when needed, holds your hand when so warranted!

If we obey Him we remain in limits and when we remain in limits we remain discipline.
