They all have terrible rates..Seriously..they do. My husband has been in Iraq quite a bit and he says the rates are just as bad for all cards. Are you sure he needs any? They are actually given alot of calling cards by the Govt when they get there. My husband was given total of 15 200 minute calling cards. After a total of 18 months of deployment, he still hasn't used them up. If you insist on buying , go for AT&T, they are the most military friendly

The only calling card that works over there is AT&T - the have the contract for phone services - other calling cards will not work. AT&T is a rip off too - you can burn up points on a calling card quick! Any AT&T calling card will work though.

This is my husbands second time over there and he has only been given a calling card by the VFW. The last time I checked it cost about .20 a minute or something like that for the ATT calling card. This link is to buy the calling cards through Aafes. Thats the kind my husband uses. https://thor.aafes.com/scs/product.aspx

The VFW will send a calling for you if you give them the mailing address. It may take a wihile though. http://www.operationuplink.org/

I think it is only 1.5 cents a minute using Yahoo messenger PC to phone in Iraq, and that is a pretty fair price for international calls. Of course PC to PC is free provided he has access to a PC
Way cheaper when you are calling there to use your PC than it is to use your phone.
When using regular phone we always use 1010987 for the best rates when calling overseas.

I would find out what kind of card your brother CAN USE first. I sent my husband cards and he couldn't use some of them because of where he was. I'm pretty sure that he got minutes on line pretty cheap, too. Good Luck and I'll be praying for your brother.
