No. If you were in mania, you would be hyper and unable to sleep, and fully functioning on an abnormally low amount of sleep. some people with depression sleep very long hours or spend a lot of time in bed staring at the ceiling. Some people with depression have insomnia.
Sleep is not a reliable indicator of bipolar disorder. Mood swings, reckless behavior, delusions, walking and talking faster than normal, having more energy than usual are typical symptoms of the mania phase of bipolar.

I don't understand how you could correlate sleeping late to bipolar disorder. Do you have any other symptoms of bipolar? If not, be glad you don't! It's a serious mental illness that embodies a myriad of potentially life-threatening symptoms. Please don't think you have a mental illness just because you're sleeping late.

If you do suspect that something might be off, be sure to take note of what those symptoms are and bring it up with your doctor.

Here's some info on bipolar.

Hope this helps!

This is just a type of sleep schedule. If you have other symptoms such as extreme mood swings, typically between a high "mania" state to a low depression, then it may possibly be a sign for you to see a doctor. Typically, when people with bipolar are in their mania stage, they sleep very little, not just late.

As far as I know...Bi-polar is usually assosiated with depression and mood swings, not so much sleep.
