It's against their religion to celebrate anything. They don't even celebrate birthdays.

JWs do not celebrate Christmas because it is based from pagan celebrations Saturnalia and others. How would you feel if your friends will celebrate your special occassion based on the same person who despises you and say all lies about you? Jesus and his apostles did not celebrate Christmas at all. There's no account in the Bible of the early Christians celebrating Christmas. How does God view a festival based on false gods and calling it the festival for him? In Exo 32, the Israelites made a calf and they even called the festival, festival/feast to Jehovah? Because of that, Jehovah plagued the people. Jesus was also not born on December 25. 1 Cor 10:21 states "; YOU cannot be partaking of “the table of Jehovah” and the table of demons. " The table of the demons are full of lies, Jehovah has the truth. Which one do you choose?

You say Jehovah’s witnesses do not celebrate Christmas. Why? I am sure any of them would be happy to give you their answer.
Prepared your self and go to the library and look up the origin of Christmas. Knowledge is power!

You mean to tell me there is a religion with common sense?
Who would have saw that coming?
What does an evergreen tree have to do with Christ?
Nothing, it came down to us from sun worshippers.
Complete with gift giving and hanging on of the balls.
Santa Clause is a lie, and so is the rest of the story about some mythological person. Parents take there kids to the Wal Mart to talk to a strange man and tell him what they want. Then the parents get the gift for them and say he got it. Teaching them that strange men are better to them then their own parents.
No wonder kids get molested. Nothing done at Christmas has anything to do with Christ. Early Christians never celebrated birthdays only pagans. Why would Jesus want someone to call sun worship his birthday? I never understood why anyone did.
Except it makes a lot of money at stores.

Did you know that in the 1700's it was illegal to celebrate Christmas in England and in Massachusetts.

At one time JW's did celebrate Christmas, but upon doing research, (which is very easy to confirm) they found that the only thing Christian about Christmas was the name. (2 Cor ch. 6)

It is like taking poison and adding it to soda and saying the soda makes it okay to drink.

Okay so you say I won't drink it, but I'll give it to my children.

Where in the bible does it say "white lies" are okay?

Notice what happen at Ex32:4,5

The churches of Christendom have long since agreed with the JWs about the origins of the holiday, just check any religious book on the subject of the holidays, but they fear losing members if they pressed the point, which they would.

Christmas does not celebrate Christ; it celebrates the pagan Saturnalia.

Jesus was not even born in December. Nearly all so-called Christmas customs dishonor Christ.

By contrast, it's tragic that the one holiday Christ actually *DID* ask Christians to commemorate is entirely ignored by almost all of Christendom. It is, of course, the Memorial of Christ's death, sometimes called "the Last Supper" or "the Lord's Evening Meal".

(1 Corinthians 11:23-25, NWT) The Lord Jesus in the night in which he was going to be handed over took a loaf... Keep doing this in remembrance of me.” 25 He did likewise respecting the cup.. Keep doing this... in remembrance of me.”

(1 Cor 11:24, 25, NEB) "Do this as a memorial of me.”

Christ Jesus himself personally celebrated and explained the significance of that Last Supper to his followers (see Matthew 26:26-29). Christians who commemorate the Last Supper have done so on the same Jewish calendar date as Jesus did, Nisan 14, which generally falls between late March and mid-April. Interestingly, Christians in the centuries immediately after Christ's impalement were sometimes called "Quartodecimans" which literally mean "Fourteen-ers", because the early Christians were well-known for this true holy day.

How would Jesus feel to learn that the holiday he commanded was widely ignored, while his so-called followers chose to celebrate a pagan false god and their own traditions of men? We don't need to wonder.

(Matthew 15:6-9) You have made the word of God invalid because of your tradition. 7 You hypocrites, Isaiah aptly prophesied about you when he said, 8 ‘This people honors me with their lips, yet their heart is far removed from me. 9 It is in vain that they keep worshiping me, because they teach commands of men as doctrines.’”

Christmas, Easter and Halloween are all pagan holidays. No true Christian has anything to do with them and remain clean in God's eyes.

TO ESTEEM ONE DAY ABOVE ANOTHER

Rom.14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 14:6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. 14:7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. 14:8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. 14:9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living. 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. Acts 17:31 24:15; John 5:20,22,26-29;
John 12:47,48; 2Cor.5:10; Matt.12:36; Philip.2:5,9-12; Rev.20:1-6,12,13 There will be the judgement day to judge man Heb.9:27; 1Cor.15:22-28; And angels Jude 6; 1Pet.3:18-20; 2Pet.2:4 and Judges 1Cor,6:2,3
14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
