I tried to install and it said it had a newer verions in it I had to get rid of it first. With no luck.

Go into the Control Panel
Click on the Add or Remove Program icon
Look for the program in the list of installed programs
Click on the program and you should get a "remove" button
Click on it to uninstall the program
Reboot the PC
Install the version you want of the program

It means that the version of the program on your computer is NEWER (latest) than the one you ar trying to install.
If you want to remove then ==> Start ==> Control Panel ==> Add/Remove Program ==> check/select the program (you wana remove)

you tried to install a program but your message said your pc has a newer version?If you have a new version in your computer the older one wont load over it.
