I have put into the search engines of "Lumipure AP 74, manual" and tried "Lumipure AP 74, cleaning" and a few other attempts but found nothing that might tell me how to clean this air purifier. I hope someone can help.

Inside the purifier, it seems to have no filters, (which it boasts that they never need replaced - could be why - they don't exist) but it does have two metal canisters - one that fits inside of another vertically. I thought perhaps they need rinsed off? But don't want to do the wrong thing if it is also an ioniazer? Or is the ioniazer from the light it has? ??

Most electronics have manuals/directions on their websites. Try the manufacturer's website and if you can't find it, try an electronics retailer like Circuit City. They have a very extensive website that includes brand name reviews by customers as well as all kinds of other helpful information. Good luck!

I couldn't figure out the manufacturer of the Lumipure or I would have provided a link too. Good luck!

I found this answer on another site, it worked for me . . .

I have one of these and to answer your questions the flashing light mean that you need to clean the filter.
If you press the black button on the front of the device about 2 inches down from the top and directly below the power button the lid will open exposing the filter, pull it out. once out you will need to seperate it in to the four parts that make it up.

To disassemble the filter unscrew the top cap and set it aside then turn the filter upside down an apply a small amount of even pressure to the threaded part sticking out this will free the inner filter parts just repeat the above step until you have three metal tubes and one screw cap. Just clean them with mild soap and warm water and set aside to dry. Once dry just reassemble the filter and place back in the device. Make sure to align the white lines across the bottom as you reassemble.

The sliding thing on the back is for cleaning the wires that do the air pre charging and can be moved only with the filter out. There is also a UV light on the inside.

Well it has either filters or grids, the latter needing cleaning and the first requiring filter change. If the instructions didn't include care and cleaning instructions then I really don't know what to say, other then keep posting you're question until another owner sees it and can help.

Did you go back to where you bought it? Or, is it something that doesn't require cleaning?

Smoke gets everywhere, the best thing to do is tell your parents to smoke outside or keep your bedroom door shut and stay in a smoke free room. An air purifier will help but smoke still goes into fabrics and your clothes.
