First off you can't hunt with full auto and ak47 is not a good hunting arm, less powerful than the .30-30 which some regard as being a pee shooter but in reality the .30-30 is a great cartridge for deer, but the 47 7.62x39 is good it is not the best and only good for closer ranges.

With that said, some and most 47s can't be converted to full auto in the U.S because they are required to have a welded piece in there not to allow full auto, there are workarounds, I don't know them and don't want to know.

I would assume if you want to a full auto ak-47 you can could go to some 3rd world islamic or afican country and find as much 47s you want for dirt cheap. Not suggesting this, they are of poorer quality and it is illegals as is the black market.

With that said, why do you need full auto? It does not help at all? I can fire pretty fast with semi-auto. Semi-auto will allow you to make more use of all of your shots and give you just as fast firepower. Use double-taps. Full auto is only good for suppressing fire and even then it wastes alot, a squad automatic weapon would be better than a full auto gun, the only nice thing about the 47 and mp44 when in full auto is they can be used as the auto weapon or in close quarters and in various tactics, but only with training and still the special forces use semi-auto most often and make their shots count. Join the Rangers or Marines and they will teach you what you need to know and will knock all the nonsense out of you. I know. That is why I advocate a 7.62mm weapon and the springfield socoms really interest me. In my mind auto just wastes ammo, especially in nam it seems that is what happend, alot of bulllets flying, not neccesarily hitting things. Learn to use your gun, if you have money go through a good course like gunsite and stuff and you will have all you need in a semi-auto weapon. However a good lmg is essential and that is why the 60 or later the 240 was such a great gun. Don't do it, the BATF doesn't need provoking to take our guns away and turning semi-autos into full auto is just asking for it in my lowly opinion.

Well, there is no way to do this legally, it's like 10 years and a 10 thousand dollar fine. The number to the ATF tech branch is 202-927-7910, and while you're in there, call the Illegal Firearms Activity Hotline: 1-800-ATF-GUNS (1-800-283-4867) and report yourself.

Don't. It is against the law. Besides if you do not know how to do something like that, you have no busiess doing it as you will most likely create a weapon that will accidentally discharge. Beside the 7.62x39mm in full auto is not able to maintain accurate automatic fire for most folks due to recoil.

You don't ! Who the heck needs full auto to go hunting anyway? Are you that poor of a shot? You might be better off if you took up fishing instead. lol
