maximum jurisdictions, no they are able to't. even though as quickly as you do turn off a cop, you will opt for to flee rapid. subsequently this will improve the aptitude so which you would be able to do some thing stupid, which in all hazard is a skill you ought to no longer improve as you have been dumb adequate to coach a cop the poultry interior the 1st place. as quickly as you do some thing stupid, you would be pulled over. Assuming the cop does not locate some thing to arrest you for and optimistic impound your motor vehicle for... assume a quotation a mile long. Oh and don't assume the cop to be in a powerful temper the two, or to take heed to any lame excuse you have, or to even look after a 2d. final analysis do no longer do it.

Just because something isn't illegal, doesn't mean it's wise to do it. I would guess that the consequences would depend on the cop. Some might blow it off as a waste of their time, but I bet there are more that would all of a sudden have a very keen interest on what you have in your pockets.

Most likely nothing in a busy community where officers are immune to such juvenile stunts. However, in smaller communities you may suffer serious consequences, such as being arrested for disorderly conduct. Possibly even menacing of an officer.

:) It depends on your states laws. In Texas, we police officers cant be offended. Now, if some poor citizen was walking by, saw it, and became offended (it happens....) then your looking at disorderly conduct. It is a ticket, but one normally served out in jail, like a public intoxication cite.

Oh, and just for the record the last person I saw do it was stopped on the sidewalk, found to have an odor of alcohol on him, spent 6 hrs in jail with the drunks for detox. And to think he could have walked on with his friends to the next bar if he'd have waved with all his fingers :o)

He can either make up trumped up charges against you and put you in jail, or beat you up on the side. Hold your temper when dealing with the police, and save yourself a lot of pain and grief.

If I were the cop, a broken finger so you have a good excuse to stick it out and be disrespectful.

Nothing. If he is interrogating you within the law or something like that, it can be bad, but not serious. Other than that, nothing. I always do it.
