How much should you pay for a car?
How much experience? What is the market? What is the competition? Film or digital? Med format or 35mm? Prints? Full resolution files? Extensive retouching? Albums? How many? What size? DVD? Slide shows? Coffee table books?
All of the above?
Expect to pay anywhere from $400 to $25,000. I think a middle of the road figure for a competent experienced photographer would be $2000 to $5000.
Good luck!

Most photographers are going to charge a minimum of $400-$500 for a full day of shooting. If you get an experience photographer, who specializes in weddings (ask them if they use 2 1/4 film) then they will charge anywhere from 1k-15k for an extensive amount of pictures and as many as 2 or 3 assistants.

It depends... On the photographers experience, what other photographers in the area are charging... Charging a flat fee plus costs? Packages with a specific number of pictures and an album? There are a lot of variables. I would charge a flat rate of $500 plus costs. But that's my preference.

Depends on the photographer. I am paying $1,050 for mine. I know some that are as much at $4,000. There are also a lot of item to factor in. But there is no set cost. Hope this helps.

Probably $5,000. Guess you better go to http://theknot.com or to http://www.weddingchannel.com to shop around for photographers. Make sure you view their work. I have seen professional photos from some weddings and they look like an ametuer took the pictures.

My wedding budget was $35,000 and we paid $2000 for our photographer. That cost was right inline with the premade wedding budget that we used on www.weddingchannel.com (click on the budget calculator).
That $2000 got us 7 hours of unlimited shooting, a 30 page album, 10 8x10s, and every picture made into a 5x7. We also got to keep the negatives.
I'm not one to criticize, but I'm not a big fan of the other advice you got on prices. Check out the budget calculator and to see what you should be spending -- not what the other answerers our saying.
