I would avoid drug store products at all costs. The pH is too high for course, dry hair. You might want to try ApHOGEE products. They're wonderful on black hair and are readily available at Sally Beauty Supply.

Pantene Pro-V has a huge line of products in which I love. I'm sure you can find something that works great for your hair color and style like I did.

Head and shoulders is really good. It washes clean from your scalp and leaves your hair soft. I use the head and shoulders conditioner also. It doesn't contain paraffin (wax) like alot of shampoos & conditioners do, such as herbal essences and pantine.

Try the new Loreal Vive Pro -- supposed to work like a charm . And if you have coloured hair ; theres Loreal Vive Pro for coloured hair too.
