Butter can definitely be used instead of margarine. It has a better flavor and also it's what are bodies are used to. There was no margarine in our ancestors diet, they only had butter. Just remember, everything in moderation. Happy baking!

Probably with better results! Remember - butter came first. Anyway, most margarines aren't good for you either. (On the other hand I'm not saying butter is any better for you but it will taste better.)

Margarine is nasty and not good for you either. Butter will make your cookies taste better.

Yes I have done that successfully and noticed it tasted better. People use margarine cause they claim it's better for you as far as fats. Good Luck!

I don't see why not, butter makes everything taste better. If you can use Margerine where it calls for butter then you surely can use butter for margerine.
