Rest, relax, drink hot liquids and inhale their steam, soak feet in very warm water w. sea salt or Epsom salt. Protect your nostrils with baby oil--inside and out. Gargle with warm sea salt solution, Eat lightly a homemade chicken soup supposed to be good for you. Keep your hands, legs, throat and ears very warm. The holistic approach is not to fight the cold because it is your body's way to release the physical and mental toxins. Do not mask the symptoms either. You do not want to fight with your own body and ignore its messages, do you? Bless your immune system for doing its job well. Remember that "a treated cold lasts only seven days and the untreated one lasts a whole week."

Drink plenty of fluids, get rest, take a non-aspirin pain reliever for the fever and aces and pains. And then there is MUSINEX . this is not an advertisement and i am not an employ of or a stock holder in the company which produces this medication. I have NOTHING to gain by recommending this product. This is a recommendation based solely on personal experience. years when all my friends and colleagues got that upper respiratory infection that hung on for months and they just couldn't get over the cough and sore throat my Dr. recommended it to me in about 3 days I was back to work in 7 to 10 days all symptoms were gone and they die not reoccur.

Hi-
Seriously- the new stuff they have out "no time for colds" was the name I took- really helps.
I proved it with me and two of my friends. You have to take it exactly as directed- at the first sign. It's like two when you first notice- two more in 30 minutes and then every four hours until you feel better.
Its really mass doses of Zinc.
I also take extra vitamin C- 250 MG every 3 hours and an echanacia every 3 hours.

Hope you get better
