So, I have a maltese with a mowhawk right now. It's wasn't intentional, I swear. Our groomer comes every 3 weeks. It's a little pattern. She does our Yorkie, 3 weeks later she does our Maltese, 3 weeks after that she does the Yorkie's hair again. We keep their haircuts short. So, really, They both get groomed every 6 weeks. My Maltese doesn't get groomed for another 2 weeks. The way her fur is growing on the top of her head, it looks like she has a little mowhawk. I want to dye it hot pink temporarily, but I don't want to use people products. I don't know how that will work, or what it might do to her. Anyone know of a product out there?

-Pet friendly
-Temporary
-Pink

P.S. If you think this is freaky, know that I'm 16. Ha, it makes more sense now, doesn't it?

P.P.S. I would prefer to use a product. Home recipes and such are nice, but products specifically for this would make me feel better. thanks: :)

go to your local pet boutique, they should have a pet friendly dye...they do make them. your groomer might even be able to order one out of her catalogues at wholesale price..i think it's a great idea...she is going to look so cute. and i don't think you are freaky for wanting to do this and i am a 25 year old woman...have fun

I have done the same thing. I had blonde hi-lights and wondered if a block colour would look better for winter, but they have not re-appeared, that was two months ago using L'oreal temporary. I was beginning to wonder if they put the wrong stuff in the pack I bought. Maybe they did!!! Have you tried the root touch up?

I've heard Kool-Aid works, but never tried it.
