I particularly want to hear from the guys, would you move across the country to live with a girlfriend?

For those that asked, I'm not ready to get married yet and the reason I don't move is because I don't want to move my daughter out of her school. He doesn't have kids so it seems to me it's easier for him.

We've dated face to face for about a month and long distance (with lots of flights) for about 2 years.

Men ask women all the time. Why would it be wrong the other way around?
Just because these guys answer a certain way doesn't mean your b/f will.
BTW, my niece just married a b/f who moved several states for her.

Depends on how deep the roots go. If a person is and has been settled in for quite some time; good job, place to live, etc. is it fair to have them drop all? If a man asks a woman in the same position to drop everything she has to move with him, would that be different? It all depends on the situation and it will never be that easy to answer. It would all depend on whether or not my career would allow me to make the move and not lose what I have made. I wouldn't ask anyone to give that much up either. If this was verge of marriage then one of the two has to make that decision, if it isn't that serious think wisely. If you move and it falls apart will you be able to survive on your own?

I think we need a little back story to this. I mean how old are you guys, why are you so far away in the first place, do you love each other and have talked about this, why cant you move to live near him and how long have you been together.
I don't know i mean if your both mature enough to know your in a loving long lasting relationship, why wouldn't he? People get married and take vows so it don't sound to far off if in the right circumstances he would.

Well... It depends on a lot of things (how long you've been together, how old you are, what sort of jobs you both have, where family is)... But if you truly believe that him moving is the best for not just you, not just him, but both of you then go ahead and talk to him about it. Don't ASK him, TALK to him. Do whats best for the both of you. And, as a guy, I probably would do it.

Long distance relationships tend to not last very long. It takes a lot of dedication to have a long distance relationship. You need a lot to think about before asking him to move or moving yourself. Make sure you're financially secured and have a stable job before you decide to make any big decisions.

It depends. If you have a really good relationship, you could. But just because you think some guy is hot doesn't meen you have to put him on the spot with that kind of question. I suggest first find out if the guy REALLY likes you, then ask.

My husband moved to 2300 miles to be with me after we met online 10 years ago. We knew that we loved each other and with both our jobs, we could go anywhere in the world. I was thrilled that he came here.. but I don't remember asking him. It just happened.

Does he have family there that he is close to? Have you met him in real life? I don't know if it is fair, because I don't know what he will be sacrificing to make the move.
