i have a few questions...:
1: is dying the bottomw of your hair less damage than at the top, where the roots are?
2: i did exactly what the bottle told me to and it just didnt work!!! i have brown hair, medium. not black or anything......? i was trying to dye it blue.
3: how much more damage is perminatly dying your hair than non-perimantly dying your hair? im only 13, but i really want to dye my hair. alot of people talk about the more you dye your hair, the earlyer and more it will fall out as you get older.

it depends on which type of dye you are using - if your trying to use a tint dye over dark hair you wont notice a big difference. I cant comment on permanent dyes but if you are useing temp veggie based ones (such as Special Effects or Manic Panic) then if you dont need to bleach/hair already light - then you are not damaging your hair at all as these dyes are vegetable based and not chemical based so they only coat the hair and actually condition as they dye.

Bleaching you hair in order to use these veggie dyes is what can cause damage so be careful if going down this road - these kind of dyes work best on bleached or light hair but use the lowest volume of bleach you can and check regularly - also remember that hair nearest the scalp will always bleach and/or dye quicker than the rest of your hair due to the heat from your scalp speeding up the process. There is a section on bleaching on the website too that can help should you decide to bleach

If you dye it again too soon after the first time that can cause some damage and breakage. You might need to wait a while before you try again. use Selsun Blue shampoo and that will help lighten it up and then in a couple of weeks you can try again and then you should wait about 4 to 6 weeks before touching up.
