Better ask the store manager. Although open to the public any store is still a private place. You can be asked to leave and if you refuse you can be arrested for trespass.

My father was told he couldn't do it in Shoprite, so I doubt it. They may allow it if you speak to the general manager first, & explain your intentions. I don't think it's against the law, but I'm sure they'd try to stop you.
Just to be clear, although he did not tell the manager this, he was trying to film a dangerous area of the store where a friend was injured.

Believe it or not, I was prevented from taking photos in a grocery store one time. I thought their fish display was especially cool, but they thought I was from a competing chain trying to steal ideas. Ask the manager first.

You would have to ask the stores top manager. Company policies differ from place to place.

Well you could ask Walmart or call an attorney. I would not trust any answers on here anyway.

You would probably not in trouble for that. If you don't make a big production of it, no one may say anything.

As long as you had their premission. Otherwise, it's still private property.
