I heard that a man was trying to bring back the draft I mean could this really happen? And if it did what effect would it have on our military men and woman who chose to be in?

Wrangle is intentionally doing this that way people won't vote for politicians who want war, because then people would have a personal reason to make sure we use peaceful methods to deal with problems.

I'm sure some people are trying to bring back the draft personally I don't think it will pass. It just does not have enough support. I personally do support the draft and I think woman should not be excluded. I think that we should do it along the lines of how many countries do it (ex. South Korea and Isreal) Have the people drafted serve a mandatory 2 years.

Unfortutantely, yes, there has been talk of reinstating the draft. Fortunately it has only been one man suggesting it and a lot of opposition for it. As far as it affecting those of us who choose to be in, I can't see it being that detrimental until we are in a war zone. I know I don't want someone watching my back for me who doesn't care and is too scared to react appropriately. The military is not for everyone.

Yes, Bush got us into a mess and there are not enough troops to do the messy job that he created, so, Mr Randall is suggesting that if we are to win that mess, then we will have to re open the possibility, and the necessity of a draft. This is because so many soldiers are going to Iraq over and over and the ones there are being extended because there are not enough replacements for them. And the recruitment process is going very bad. Any volunteers out there? Bush and Chaney will love you, because they are filling their pockets with our money that is being recycled from defense contracts....KECK

Of course the Democrats wait untill after the election to tell you this.

Well, if you get drafted - you can thank the Democratic party!

It's Charles Rangel who is saying we should bring back the draft. Charles Rangel, by the way, is a liberal democrat.

My loyalties go in this order:
1. God
2. My Family
3. My Country
4. My Friends
5. Myself

Unfortunately my mom would not want me to be drafted, and by choosing to be loyal to #3 I would not be loyal to #1 and #2. This is all pretty scary too, considering I'm almost 18.

Yeah. The democrats blamed Bush for starting a draft, which he didn't do, and now they want to do it. Retards.
