Take her to the vet! They will probably need to do some bloodwork on her to be sure she did not contract any tickborne diseases. Do this as soon as possible as some of them can be fatal rather quickly. I hope I'm not scaring you but it is a possibility. Always go by "better safe than sorry".
Possible diseases are;
Babesiosis
Ehrlichiosis
Lyme disease
Rocky mountain spotted fever
tick paralysis
- google any of these to get more information
Good luck and I hope your girl feels better soon!

Time to take her to the Vet for a good once over. The head shaking could be something easy, like ear mites, but it could be a sign of something serious. You should also invest in one of the topical pest control systems, like Frontline, that keeps ticks and fleas off her. She needs to see a Vet to make sure she hasn't gotten something from the ticks.

I agree you take her to the vet. Ticks can get deep in the ear canal and cause all kinds of infection. Home treatment may not be a wise choice if she is shaking her head she is telling you something hurts.

sometimes it's best to take them to the vets for a thorough check over and that way if they are having a reaction to the ticks, the appropriate action can be taken before it gets too bad. My cat had the same problems, we took her to the vets and she had one more tick that even the vet could not find until we shaved her.

ticks are pretty common espically if you live in a woodsy type area or you walk your animal through these type areas.just remove the ticks and be sure not to pull out just the body and leave the head.then get your dog on a good flea and tick medicine and she should be good to go.talk to your vet about what medicine would be best for your dog.

I would take her to the Vet for a check on her ears to be sure they are "tick free" and put her on monthly tick medication. Deer ticks are so tiny that it would be almost imposible to see them in the ear canal.

You need to get your dog to the vet ASAP and get her on a flea and tick preventative. Also have the vet check for ticks, fleas or allergies to flea or tick bites.

Take your dog to the vet. If you don't have enough money to go to the vet, try washing her with a flea shampoo (sergeants flea and thick) after that dry her up and apply a little tube of advantage on her back. If that does not work TAKE HER TO THE VET.
