"There's no question in my mind that this president and this administration would never have invaded Iraq, especially on the flimsy evidence that was presented to the Congress, if indeed we had a draft, and members of Congress and the administration thought that their kids from their communities would be placed in harm's way" - is he right?

If you vote Republican or Democrat you are only representing the old era of america. The new age of america that is to come (the hints are everywhere) brings ideas, free from vote-hungry politicians, free from democratic/republican ignorance. All america needs is an ambitious libertarian candidate who is very wealthy (perot almost did it) to bring america into a new golden age. Vote with the old, you are only throwing your vote away.

No.

He is just trying to use scare tactics in an apparently successful attempt to get people to vote Democrat.

I do find it ironic that just after the election we hear Democrats advocating a draft.

I don't think so. This is just another backhanded slap at our soldiers. Who says only the poor and uneducated are in our military? Why is it so hard to believe well educated, smart kids actually sign up? Its true that they do.

We don't want to force a bunch of miscreants into the military, its just not for them. The number of American military atrocities would skyrocket, and then we would REALLY be in trouble.

No, he's an idiot. But he's proving the democrats can't even make it to their first day in power without dramatically increasing spending, which will make their pledge to balance the budget and reduce the deficit interesting if they keep their pledge (HA!) not to raise taxes.
