It has come to my attention that a disgustingly larger percentage of you have been sexually assaulted than I could have ever imagined. My ex girlfriend and a very special girl to me have recently told me that they have both been assaulted--and both more than once! It seems as though it is more common for a woman to have been a victim than to not have been one. I just wanted to know if this has happened to you and whether or not you did anything about it. I have a feeling I won't like the answer.

Im a guy but trust me..i will never force a woman to do anything like that. I know many women dont tell anyone about it though in fear that the guy will come back and do it again.

Yes, me twice, different men. I didn't do anything about it until the second time as he started to turn up at my work place (god knows how he found out where I worked - I didn't know him from a bar of soap). I was 14 when that happened, and only told my boss that someone had been making rude comments to me.

No police though. And certainly didn't tell my folks. I'm now 29.

i came awful close to being raped in the back of some guy's van when i was about 13. i was too naive to really understand what happened until years later and no, i never did anything about it. it was a close call.

there's a sign that's been hanging on a wall where i see it every day. it says "what do you call a guy who thinks none of the women in his life have been sexually abused?" i think the answer is uninformed, or naive or something to that general effect.

Yeah, and for years. I did do something about it, but the law couldn't really care enough to give proper punishment. My attacker will not get long, despite his unthinkable crime, and this is the case for most. Women are giving up on making official reports about it because they never get the full support they deserve and as a result more and more women are getting hurt.
Sorry to hear about your ex and special friend.

yes i have been sexual assaulted i was 11or 12 when my uncle assaulted me and i am so ashamed of it. i am grown now and i feel like it was my fault because it had happen to me and now i have a daughter and she see my uncle and i don't let her be around him. because i know what he did to me and my child is 10 and i know if he touch her i will kill him. no child or woman should have to go through that. alots of woman have been assaulted but we try to get pasted that but it is hard.

this happened to a very close friend of mine...the worst part is that the only way to get the person who did it put in jail is for her to get up in front of a judge and jury and tell the whole thing in detail...my friend couldnt do it along with many others...i dont know whats happening to the world these days...

happened once. 2 "men". I was 16 years old.
I did nothing about it~ I had lied about where I was going and was afraid my Christian father would blame me. That he'd say it was my fault because I had gone to a party and was drinking...
Told him the truth when i was 19.
I was right.

Nope...no sexual assaults or near assaults (that I recall anyway)...

It does happen though...and can create all kinds of sexual hangups for the victims...
