So there's this guy (yes I know, how many posts do you read on here that say that? Probably 2 many to count oh well.) Lately I've been wondering whether he likes me (I have liked him for a while). We are friendly, but I'm so quiet that I never really say much to him other than "hi". He seems not to notice me most of the time---and not in an "I'm ignoring you because I like you" kind of way, it just seems like he doesn't see me. But lately he will always sit next to me at the computer at school. He was hanging around today when I was doing something on the comp, too. But he said nothing to me, only talked to the people around me. I said something (because I was semi-listening to them) and then a few minutes later he walked away. I've also caught him staring at me a few times. I feel like I'm getting mixed signals--or am I just reading too much into nothing? I tend to think the latter, but I also have low self-esteem about these things. Any advice?

Seems like he is more willing to talk to other people than me, but I'm not sure if that's because he likes me or because I never say anything to him. Also, it will seem like he wants to sit next to me, but then sits like right behind me or something. Like he chickened out (which seems odd and out of character for him).

i am a boy........ i have been almost the exact same way with girls that i have liked. i want to see them or walk by them but be extremely subtle. this is mostly due to me thinking that there is no way i can get her. so my advice is to be outgoing if he is not going to be. if he likes you, this will show him that you are "in his league"

Why dont you try and talk to him? I like this guy, and I'm too shy to flirt, but at least I can have a lot of fun with him as a friend. And mabey if you guys become friends, it will go somewhere.
What I would do was take it slow, first start to talk to him a bitt ("hey, whats up??) and then see if he likes you or not. If not, you can still get a new friend!

try catching his eye and smiling at him next time he sits near you. or play the old helpless female trick. just wait for a good opportunity when he's next to you and pretend like you need help with something on the computer. that way, you initiate a conversation, and if he doesn't look interested, you have a good excuse.

Test the waters, Make small talk .Get comfortable talking and being around him. When you become comfortable around himask him if he would like to go out sometime and do something. It takes alittle bit of patience but it never hurts to take your time and figure things out.
