Just about every toy on the shelf in the stores are a bad influence on a child, no matter what their ages are. Look at Barbie, no body has a body in real life like her. And if they did, they'd be anorexia. I have seen anorexia people, and they still dont look like Barbie. The Bratz dolls are dressed poorly, and that sends mixed feelings to young girls. I wonder why these doll manufactors dont make chunky looking dolls for girls, yes theres black, white and mexican dolls but thats it. And every single one of them are these stick figures with a bit of curve. No 10 year old child is built like Barbie or a Bratz doll. Parents need to not buy these things for young girls. Then maybe the manufactures would stop making them. In time, there will be Barbies and Bratz with pubic hair. The world is a mess. Try to keep your children young as possible. Theres way to much junk out there these days that makes young children grow up before their time.

Nope I will not be buying those for my daughter, but Im sure by the time she is old enough for dolls they will have something worse out. They are slutty looking dolls and I dont agree with little girls playing with them. Little girls dont yet have an understanding of certain issues and they will begin to think this is supposed to be how they dress or they should want to wear tons of make up. Maybe some thing they are just dolls, but with little girls, its more than that. They want to be like their Bratz dolls. I always wanted to look like my Barbie.

I don't have any children, but I know if I did I would not buy them those dolls. First of all, they're called Bratz, and being a brat is not a good thing for a child to be or to think is a good thing. They're also dressed horribly. No child or even adults would wear the clothing they do.

I'll definitely buy Bratz for my kids(if i did have). They look more like imagined dolls with personalities that are different but cool compared to human like dolls. I might let them play with Bratz princess and other cute line and when they're teens, I'll treasure the dolls for as cross generation of my family.

I am amazed at how many say they would never buy these dolls for their children, why is it that these are some of the best selling dolls of all time? I have purchased these dolls for my daughters,my girls are very aware that real women don't look like this that it is just a toy, they have no bad influence on my kids, they just like to dress them and do their hair.

Are any of the dolls out there realistic really? Are our girls going to be princesses or live in Malibu driving a corvette like Barbie?
The Bratz dolls do look unrealistic and trashy for a ten year old but that's just because they are dolls for imagination.
The company has no problem selling these dolls because their clothing and makeup is more realistic to appeal to a young girs imagination than many dolls out there now.
I think that if you look at the Barbie dolls that have been out since the 50's, they all look like these dolls wearing just about nothing and in a body that is completely impossible anatomically. Barbie and Princess dolls better? Are our daughters training to grow up to actually be a princess? No it's just imagination at work.
I do not believe they make the girls have a bad influence if you are willing to talk to your girls about the reality of their looks and the looks of real women and that these dolls are just pieces of plastic. Women do not look like that in reall lfie. That they would not go out in public with they little tiny shirts and skirts.
They are great for the young girls imagination with fashion but in the 50's even you would not have gone outside wearing just a red and white striped bikini --Right? Just keep the conversation going with your girls. Make sure you are actually not having them wear these clothes. Let it be a way to speak about it with them.
For the record, I think the name Bratz is not good no matter what.

Bratz dolls are not allowed in my house at all. A friend of mine thought it would be funny to get my daughter one for her 4th b-day knowing how I felt, and she left my house with the doll. I think they look like little whores.

I personally would never buy a BRATZ doll for my daughters. They look like hookers in my opinion. Definately not a good role model. I stick to Disney princess dolls and Barbie.

They look skanky, i am only 21 but i would not want my kids playing with these. I would hope that parents would buy toys that help enable their children. The dolls are aimed at 6-10 year olds, how are we helping young girls when they are given this image to live up to?

I stongly agree with the 1st person that answered. Do you know they have Goth Bratz. And they could even spoil your child because of all the cool things they have. And sooner than an average child would, yours would want to wear half shirts and peircings.Barbie is far better.
