I am angry. I am far more angry of the system then Oveida though. The problem is that too many people out there give people like Oveida a second chance, and a third and a fourth. He shouldn't be here, He shouldn't be driving and **** he shouldn't be driving drunk. After that he should be labeled a danger to society and his deportation should be expedited. What worse, he's a repeat offender. If you don't have a reliable driver's license, the police need to hold them until immigration is determined. TO S and Maxmom, the problem is worse than an American drunk driver. THe guy should not be driving period. Most states don't allow driver's license for illegals. And with American Drunk drivers, we can't kick out those idiots, THe law allows us to kick out illegal immigrants who drunk drive. Illegal WHo drunk drive already broke 3 laws while Americans who drive drunk broke one. We need to pull all their cards, but it's inexcusable for illegals who continue to break our laws to stay!!!!

Alcohol is a depressant, - When you are drunk, your body is relaxed. When you are relaxed, your body can take a lot more impact and abuse. When you see it coming - as the sober person would - you tense up making your body rigid.
Think of it this way. Drunk driver all relaxed like cooked spaghetti. Sober driver is like raw spaghetti....throw them both on the floor and see which one breaks easier.
This is actually a technique for fighting - drunkard boxing or something like that

I am under the impression that everyone involved in a crash is a victim, including the driver, therefore he/she would be included in this statement.

when your drunk your body is more loose and relaxed so when the time of impact hits then the driver does not tence up and it helps with absorbing impact and gives the driver less of a chance of getting sereiously injured

The drunk driver is usually so relaxed that his body doesn't sustain much damage as opposed to someone who sees it coming and tenses up.

Thats not always true but maybe its Gods way of handling the situation. Dying is easy it's hard to live with yourself knowing you killed innocent people, and then you have to thin about thier families and stuff like that.

The drunk driver doesn't tense up his/her body if they are in a crash. I think that has something to do with it.
