Yes, of course. Children are not disposable! They helped create the child, they can help support the child.

I'm not sure this belongs in Singles & Dating...but I have mixed feelings on this issue...

It takes 2 to make a kid, so both parties should be responsible...but the downside is that once the guy donates the sperm, he has no decision in the matter...if the woman slyly gets pregnant w/o him knowing she was trying, he's still responsible....if he hopes she'll abort, but she chooses to go through with the pregnancy and keep the child, he's still responsible...

Guys need to be a LOT more careful about where they "dip their stick" and with their own pregnancy protection...condoms, spermacide, whatever it takes...don't rely on someone else to make sure you don't end up paying child support for a kid you don't want...I sure don't rely on any guy to make sure I don't get pregnant...

yeah, but i think that in most cases the mom always ends up 'winning.' I think the child support laws need to be changed because usually the father has to give money for the child and the mom, but if it takes "two to tango" then the mom should have to pay too, it should be a fifty fifty thing, and the dad should not have to pay to support the mom.

unless it was rape, the mom was EQUALLY responsible for the child too.

so i think we should only make them pay for half of the what it would cost to raise the child, not the full amount.

a child should never ever be unwanted but if that's the way that a dad plays it then yes takes two to tango, and it shouldn't be up to the mom to make ends meet... Dad's need to step up, or get out of the jean pool

Yes. It takes two to tango and while all the birth control in the world can be used, if the girl decides to keep it for whatever reason, he needs to know that he should do his part. If he isn't willing to take the responsibility then he shouldn't risk it!

No one forced them to put their unprotected c**ks into the women's p***y. If they didn't want children, they shouldn't have put themselves in that situation in the first place. Chldren don't ask to be born, but once they're here they deserve to be supported by both parents.

Hell yes. If they didn't want to conceive a life then they should protect themselves from an unwanted pregnancy.

i dont think so. Not in normal circumstances anyway, i know it takes two and all that. If the guy hasn't ever known the baby, Ideally, there should be a mum and dad there. but I think he shouldn't have to pay if he's not there. In that situation I would want to provide for my child myself, and take responsibility for that as well as the love.

Yes. They are just as responsible to bag it as the women are to get on the pill. It's both their responsibility. If the father really didn't want to have a kid he should either abstain, wear a condom or get it snipped.
