I have a scar above my upper lip from cleft-lip surgery when I was a baby. Members of the opposite sex have never seemed to mind. I've never had a problem with guys asking me out. And the scar has never held me back from anything else in life, either. Most people have never mentioned the scar and the few that have told me they thought it gave my face character or that there was something sexy about it.
But just remember - it is all in your confidence and how you carry yourself. If you act all self-conscious, like you think the scar takes alway from you as a person, then that will not be sexy to anyone! So forget about the scar and just be yourself!

If a girl can't see beyond the scar then she probably isn't worth knowing anyway. Most girls will be worrying about what imperfections they have more than 1/4 of an inch scar.

no i would not be turned away from your scar. But you should not let that bother you because if it does than it will be obvious to the girls that will approach you or you approaching them. Just be yourself pretend its not there. If someone looks at it or talks about in a way that would offend you, joke about it show them that you wont let a scar postpone what you wanna do or how they will think of it. And you mentioned it being small, dont stress it, a girl should like you because of you not because of no mini scar. Honestly, stuff like that dun bother me, so my advice to you is to go to school ever day and imagine the scar not being their because truth is it is only noticeable if you stress upon it.

No, i like a guy right now who has a scar next to his eye. The cuteness factor probably distracts from the scar, just like the guy I like. And the great personality! He's a little darker too, since his mom's Mexican. Don't worry about the scar and just be yourself. :-)

I would not be turned away by your scar or a scar in general. I used to play soccer and have some small ones in my legs so I understand how you feel.

Actually, scars are one of the things I'm looking for in a man! LOL.
I'm joking...(...kinda?), but honestly, scars are sexy my dear, don't worry about it. In my opinion, it makes a man look harder; tough, not to be messed with! Like a souljah! Look what it did for Channing Tatum in 'Step Up'.....you see? you seee?? lol. Even look at Mary J Blige, if you see her new promotional pictures, it's very obvious that they're photoshopping her pictures to make her facial scar stand out very clearly.
I'm really not trying to glorify you pain, - I'm sure it hurt. Just use a good ointment (I would suggest Cocoa butter, or polysporin), and it'll fade in due time ... if you'd like it to.

Scars don't look bad at all usually. I think you're fine. Don't sweat it. Any girl that would look at a scar and not date you just for that doesn't deserve you anyway. Even if it did look bad, I think most girls would rather go out with a nice guy with a scar than a good looking jerk.

Not at all. It sounds like a very small scar anyway.
I used to date a guy who'd been in a fire and had bad burn scars all over his chest, and it didn't bother me one bit.
In general, I think many girls are kind of turned on by scars - they think they look macho.

absolutely not! scars add character. i have a moon shaped scar by my left eye. and my husband has a scar above his eyebrow. generally scars don't affect someone's appearance in a negative way unless it is a disfiguring one. then they tend to be noticed and scrutinized. good luck with the girls, and don't worry about your shyness. just give it time.
