A person posts a question about what should be done to a named deacon supposedly accused of abusing a child and everyone automatically believes it. The person making the accusation doesn't show their true face, or give a contact email, even a hidden one. Was this person a witness to the crime or is he just repeating gossip? If true, the accuser knows what to do and should do it without anyone telling him, otherwise he's just an accomplise in the crime.

No they are not unusually gullible here,
They are usually gullible here.
A minor seeming but totally relevant distinction.
I think it is because of the high number of natural born believers that religion draws.

Yes, there are gullible people on here, but, you manipulate the forum. Everyone offers opinion on questions. Facts are offered but less often. To take people's opinions and then dispute them for not being based on fact is manipulative.

Papa Bear, people are unusually gullible *in general.* Everywhere, every time in history.
How else do you explain people believing in made-up mythical religion, or people voting for Bush? ;-)

They're no more gullible here than in the rest of the world. Which is sad...but true.

After looking at the question, I have to say that the person was a troll, posting a hyperbolic question in order to "demonstrate" the corruption of some organized religions and the Bible.

Yes they are. I tend not to believe that guy. If you were trying to cover it up, why would you use his name? Did you see how long his question is?He just wants to babble to everyone.
