I don't reckon that the inventors of this trademark had Hebrew in their mind when thought of it, but you are quite right.
Yah is one of god's many names in Hebrew.
Hoo means "he", or "his", but sometimes it has no meaning.
The combination of the two words is very popular in biblical names, such as Zedekiah (Tzidkiyahu: justice of Yah), or Isaiah (Yisha'ayahu: Yah is salvation).
Yahoo means "he is god".

Yah is God's name, but I don't know what oo, means. I was thinking about this very same question earlier this week. I am very interested in finding out.

Yahoo is a word invented by Johnathan Swift in the novel Gulliver's Travels. Nothing more, nothing less. Yahweh is the Hebrew name for God, and it does sound similar. However, Swift was notorious for his disdain of the religious masses, and I am sure he named the idiotic human tribe Yahoos for this reason.
