Numbers 15:32-36

The Sabbath-Breaker Put to Death
32 While the Israelites were in the desert, a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day. 33 Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly, 34 and they kept him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done to him. 35 Then the LORD said to Moses, "The man must die. The whole assembly must stone him outside the camp." 36 So the assembly took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD commanded Moses.

I GUESS THIS IS WHY IN AMERICA WE LET RAPISTS AND CHILD MOLESTERS OUT NO JAIL TIME

Laws of Rape (Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NLT)

If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.

What kind of lunatic would make a rape victim marry her attacker? Answer: God.

Death to the Rape Victim (Deuteronomy 22:23-24 NAB)

If within the city a man comes upon a maiden who is betrothed, and has relations with her, you shall bring them both out of the gate of the city and there stone them to death: the girl because she did not cry out for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbors wife.

It is clear that God doesn't give a damn about the rape victim. He is only concerned about the violation of another mans "property".

The part of the sabbath breaker came through, did you forget to include the part of the rapist? If you are going to ask us to compare verses, we need both please.

thanks!

Why do you compare a sabbath breaker to a rapist? Well The phariisees in this time were so crooked. They were so unGodly that when Jesus did a miracle on the sabbath, they tried to stone him! Jesus came to establish a new covenant .
1 Corinthians 11:25
In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me."
His ways are the same yesturday, today , and forever. For example if you come to him in prayer for your family but you have unforgiveness in your heart , he will comfort you but he cant answer your prayer because of your unforgiveness. He will never stray from that.

Under the Law, if an engaged girl committed fornication with another man, both she and the man were to be put to death. But if the girl screamed for help, this was taken as proof of her innocence. The man was put to death for his sin in which he forced her, and the girl was exonerated.—De 22:23-27.

23 “In case there happened to be a virgin girl engaged to a man, and a man actually found her in the city and lay down with her, 24 YOU must also bring them both out to the gate of that city and pelt them with stones, and they must die, the girl for the reason that she did not scream in the city, and the man for the reason that he humiliated the wife of his fellowman. So you must clear away what is evil from your midst.

25 “If, however, it is in the field that the man found the girl who was engaged, and the man grabbed hold of her and lay down with her, the man who lay down with her must also die by himself, 26 and to the girl you must do nothing. The girl has no sin deserving of death, because just as when a man rises up against his fellowman and indeed murders him, even a soul, so it is with this case. 27 For it was in the field that he found her. The girl who was engaged screamed, but there was no one to rescue her

You jissed a verse or two. Try Deuteronomy 22:25-27 for the law covering violent rape. The girl is innocent, the rapist is supposed to be put to death.

If you are referring to David REFUSING to kill his son (for the rape of his own half-sister) the word you need is DISOBEDIENCE. The law called for the rapist to die. David broke that one too (as well as the ones about adultery and murder). But that is another story!

Oh, I've read the new additions. You are lumping all sorts of sexual crimes into "rape". I guess it depends on what version you read? It would also be more honest if you QUOTED THE ENTIRE LAW YOU WANT TO REFUTE.

Shyster!

According to the Bible women have no rights and to rape a woman really isn't that bad of a sin. I think you have to pay something like 35 shekels if you rape someone, but it is her fault if you do so she has to be banished, I skimmed through Leviticus, boring stuff really. But to forgot about God's holy day is a personal affront against the almighty, and those that offend God deserve to die.

If you are referring to the adulteress, Jesus was making a powerful statement of forgiveness and repentance.

The Sabbath breaker was stoned as a display to the Israelites of God's power, promise, testament, commandments, and justice.

Jesus gave us a new commandment "Love one another".

You talk so much nonsense!
Jesus said, the sabbath was made for man...not man for the sabbath. Many times, the Jews accused Jesus of breaking the sabbath.
Jesus made it clear that he was opposed to old Jewish customs who called it religion.

GOD IS NOT A PUNISHING GOD. HE IS PURE AND LOVES US ALL, LIKE A MOTHER LOVES HER CHILDREN. YOU MUST REMEMBER THAT THE BIBLE WAS WRITTEN BY MAN. IT WAS THE WORD OF GOD, BUT!, WRITTEN BY MAN.
I PERSONALLY DON'T TRUST THE MIDDLE MAN.
