I think because Haagen Dazs has conventional ice creams with a few extra flavors.... while Ben and Jerry's ice creams throws a lot of different flavors in which I think it overwhelming to the South Korean palate.... making it taste like cough syrup.

I don't think Ben & Jerry's has franchised out to Asia yet. We don't have any B&J (and I'd love some Cherry Garcia!), but Haagen Daaz is really popular -- the stores in the cities, and the ice cream is in the freezer case at most grocery stores. And we even have a Baskin Robbins in my town (31 flavors, although they only have about 15). But no Ben and Jerry's. Maybe we need to start a campaign!

I live in Japan.
