I am 5'2" and I've lost from 153 down to 119. I look in the mirror and I still see myself at 153. Everybody says that I am "NOT fat". But I can't tell any difference except for my pants size (3/4) and what the scale says. Do I sound at least a little chubby or what? I'm really confused.

You are fine. we often have trouble with body image right after we lose weight since we see ourselves everyday we don't see the dramatic results. The way your clothes fit should be a good indicator.

5'2", 119 lbs.
Your BMI score is: 21.7

A BMI score of 18.5 to 24.9 indicates you have a healthy body fat ratio. Remember to keep your healthy lifestyle by eating right and exercising.

I understand how you feel. I didn't have such a dramatic loss as you (162 to 142 so far) but I haven't noticed ANY difference really, yet my boyfriend and coworkers are always saying that I have really slimmed down. I guess its just hard for us to see ourselves as different but I'm sure you look great; that sounds like a low average weight for your height - I wouldn't get much skinnier though. A little meat is good!

I'm also 5'2".5, and I weigh exactly 119. I swear I weighed myself this morning! Anyway, I know I'm not fat, and the doctor says I'm healthy, and us being the about the exact same height and weight. You sound fine.

at your weight you are not "fat". i think it's probably hard for some people who have been obese to see themselves the same as other people do once they have lost the weight. but congratulations! i hope that you will keep up the lifestyle changes that you made and continue to be healthy. if you still look in the mirror and see "fat" then maybe you should seek some counseling. good luck!

I think you sound like you're the perfect weight for your height. I totally understand how you feel. Being self conscious is okay. But you need to understand that you are beautiful and let yourself see that.

mail me : I'm curious as to how you lost the weight . [I'm having trouble losing some. Okay a lot of weight.]

Congrats!!!! you can do it! I think a target weight of 115 would be great! You might be heavier some days and lighter others. but that is normal. go by a weekly average. your pant size should say it all honey, you have made it, now just maintain it.

119 is great! its a perfect weight. Stop putting yourself down so much, it could develop into an eating disorder.
