i'm almost 13 and
I've tried to throw myself up over a couple of weeks and i know all the bad things it could do to you. But i've been going through so much stress and its getting KIND of addicting, I'm not what you call bodyconscious that much, i just find it a great way to relieve stress and feel better about myself.
please don't call me a whore or a ***** because i know i'm being stupid and I DON'T NEED HELP but do you think i'm bulimic? EVEN if i only succeeded ONCE on throwing up?
I've tried SEVERAL times, but all that came out was saliva, no vomit.
and the closest thing to vomit that came out was a mozzerella piece please tell me even if thats the only thing that came out, because i tried SEVERAL times to actually vomit myself, am i bulimic?
please i need to know the truth to actually stop...

You need help to stop. You have signs of bulimia. Be honest with your parents and have them get you to a physician.

Best Wishes,

Sue

Talk to your parents about it! Self induced vomiting to relieve stress is an abnormal and almost a self mutilation to your body! That's not good. If it makes you feel better , it can quickly turn into an addition! What you probably have is a nervous stomach and this is quite common amongst people. It may be hard, but you parents will get you help! Treatment may be the simple act of a pill.Do it and save yourself alot of heartache in the long run.

It doesn't matter if the endeavor was successfull or not, what matters is that you TRIED to throw up.
Symptoms of bulimia nervosa include: a) an obsessive desire to lose weight b) depression, stress...both of which you are starting to exhibit.
You need to stop. This is extremely damaging to your body and could result in death. Feeling better about yourself is just another example of bulimia. Take a look in the mirror. Do you feel fat? Do you think people will like or appreciate you more if you are skinnier? Because they won't. There are better ways to die, and faster.
See a school counselor, talk to your friends about it, and tell your parents.

Hey,
Yes, throwing up on purpose, is bulimia. My cousin was bulimic because she felt she was fat and when she finally stop she was 105 lbs and wasn't eating anything. Her little sister did it one time and was caught before she could keep it up. It may help relieve stress but it hurts you more then it helps. I'm 17 and hate throwing up because a friend of mine died from vomit being caught in her throat when she was sick. If you keep trying to throw up people will notice if you lose weight and stop eating, you'll get nausious when you smell food and eventually your stomach won't accept food. i hope this helps you make the choice to stop. When you have to much stress, write a short story about what is causing it and see if that helps. If not then email me and I'll talk to you about it. Anything to keep you from doing that. Ok, hope this helped, even if only a little. Bye,
Sabz

I have the same problem. I only get saliva and burp. I know that it is wrong but when I'm stressed I go to the sink and gag myself. I try to tell myself that it's a major problem but I am just kinda out of it. Maybe someday we will stop!

Good luck :]

I do not think you are bulimic, but I think you have things you need to deal with. What is giving you stress? Is there any way you can resolve it with out damaging your body.
You can die from throwing up on purpose. Your esophagus can rupture and you can bleed to death. Your teeth can rot out. Your heart can fail.
Please, find a healthy way to resolve stress. You already know it's addicting, get out before it sucks you in. Find someone to talk to. Even if you don't mention throwing up, stop doing it and talk about the things that are stressing you out.

not yet your not,but your well on your way. If you keep this up, you'll have a full blown ED within the month. Please, just stop while you still can. Go for a walk, listen to music, tell a friend, a parent, JUST STOP. Before it consumes you.

You're vomiting out food, stomach lining etc so you're just being sick all the time even if you haven't eaten much at all.
