Depends. What type of relationship did you have with her before you went out on a date?

If she was a friend, by all means call her the minute after the date is over and tell her it went well. But don't put yourself too out there because she may not reciprocate.

If she was a blind date, do not pull the creepy clingy move. Simply call her a day or two after and ask her out on another date. After a couple dates, then you can hint on how much you like her.

If she was a co-worker, wait until rumors (which usually get back to you by the next business day) get back to you. If it sounds like she had a good time follow the blind date rules above. If she did not, go on damage control mode ( a bad date with a co-worker can really damage your chances of dating other girls from your work place).
