Stuffed mushroom caps.
Buy large mushrooms, wash with cool water, pat dry, gently remove the stems, save three or four stems, and dice them up fine. Add to the diced mushroom stems the following:
Dice up a cup of dark / white meat, mix with the stuffing..about 2 cups of the cooked stuffing from the turkey, add a half cup of ricotta cheese, (you can substitute cream cheese if you like) and blend well, mixture will be sticky, add a tablespoonful of Parmesan cheese, 1/2 teaspoon of sweet basil. Now using a heaping tablespoonful of the stuffing mixture, pack it into the cap of the mushrooms. Place mushrooms into a 13 x 9 baking dish, pour a can of chicken soup broth into the bottom of the pan, OR use some of the turkey pan drippings and 2 cups of water into the bottom of the pan and bake at 375 for 30 minutes. Uncovered. Remove from oven and if you like you can put a quarter slice of mozarella on the top, or a quarter slice of provalone on the top, let set 5 minutes, then serve. Delicious.
2 caps, plus a nice, dark green, simple salad makes a wonderful lunch.

No. Thanksgiving is classic turkey and trimmings. cakes are in general pumpkin and candy potato pies. Christmas is the two a status rib roast or baked ham. sometimes the two - and each and all of the trappings for those. Christmas cookies surprisingly plenty make up cakes, nonetheless there's some cheese tarts or pecan pies.

Don't know what you are making now. But how about fruit salad. scalloped potatoes and asparagus.
Also baked apples are festive and a breeze to make. Core, stuff with raisins and a bit of brown sugar.
