you're right, the igredients do not differ. actually alot of those 'migraine' meds have the same ingredients as the regular pain reliever.

it really doesn't matter which one you use. the liquid gels will hit your bloodstream quicker, so i recommend either advil liqui-gels or advil migraine.

use as directed. sometimes exceeding the limit can cause you some belly discomfort :-(

I believe the difference is that migraine has a solubilized ibuprofen that dissolves quicker. But I'm sure it's like other companies that put out a new and improved item that is the same as the old one, just with a new fancy packaging. I think it might have potassium in it too, but I don't know if that has any significance or not. But if that is the case then you could probably use regular Advil gel caps since they are soluble as well.

I have exactly the same problem, and have had them for about 15 years. If you are on a birth control pill, I would suggest seeing your doctor to help you out in finding a birth control pill that balances out your hormones. People who have migraines cannot just take any birth control pill, it's a balancing act! I usually get a migraine a day or so before my period, I also get mine with the change in pressure (weather - rain). There is a daily preventative medicine (Topamax) my doctor has me on to help out with the migraines as at one point, mine were totally out of control. When I get a migraine, I take Imitrex (100mg pill) to treat the migraine. Imitrex is one of many types of migraine medicines available, you just have to find one that will work for you. There is also a medicine my doctor had tried to give me to take 24-48 hrs prior to my period that would help prevent the period migraines, but I didn't really notice a difference. I don't remember the name of the medicine, but i'm sure if you ask your doctor, they should be familiar with this type of drug. Hope this helps out. Best thing to do is to make an appointment with your family doctor or gyn to talk about your migraines, they will be the best source to assist you with treatment. Thanks!

there is absolutely no difference between the 2. it is the drug company's way of thinking that you are taking something special and different. oh, my bad. the advil migraine costs more money.but if you compare them there is no difference.
