Gallbladder surgery is verrrry much improved in recent years and is usually done laproscopically(no BIG cuts). She should be home in short order. Then she will need a few days of help with personal stuff and food preparation)and a few weeks of someone else doing heavy lifting and stairs. She needs to be sure and watch her fat intake and meal sizes. A friend of mine now has chronic pancreatitis because she did not follow her doctor's advice after the surgey...It will be fine..just help her even when she says she doesn't need any help.

I had that surgery in January 2006. She will probably have laproscopic surgery which means they will make 4 small incisions. She will probably be up and walking around within a day or so, but she will need help with household chores for a week or two.

Any surgery has some element of risk to it. This particular surgery is very common and has little risk.

If she doesn't have the surgery, she will continue to have abdominal pain every time she eats fatty foods. There really isn't much of a reason to refuse the surgery.

Don't worry, the hospital will take good care of your mother while she is there. You can help take care of her when she gets home.

Has your mum tried everything else. If she can avoid the surgery, it will be of great benefit to her.

Cleansing the liver of gallstones dramatically improves digestion, which is the basis of your whole health. You can expect your allergies to disappear, too, more with each cleanse you do! Incredibly, it also eliminates shoulder, upper arm, and upper back pain. You have more energy and an increased sense of well being.

Cleaning the liver bile ducts is the most powerful procedure that you can do to improve your body's health. But it should not be done before the parasite program, and for best results should follow the kidney cleanse.

It is the job of the liver to make bile, 1 to 1½ quarts in a day! The liver is full of tubes (biliary tubing) that deliver the bile to one large tube (the common bile duct). The gallbladder is attached to the common bile duct and acts as a storage reservoir. Eating fat or protein triggers the gallbladder to squeeze itself empty after about twenty minutes, and the stored bile finishes its trip down the common bile duct to the intestine.

I had my Gallbladder out in 2000. It was fine. They did it through the scope. They just made a few small incisions and through my bellybutton. The pain from the surgery was less than the pain from the Gallbladder attacks. It is a fairly routine surgery. I know it is normal to be nervous about any surgery.

My husband had his removed about 2 years ago. The attacks are far worse than the surgery itself. Your mom will be fine. Just say a prayer for her.
