At the begging of the school year (end of August), this boy used to look at me. So, when I found out I stared back. When he found out I was looking back, he stoped. And then I stoped.
Now I see him looking at me again. Just FYI, I've never met this kid before.
What exactly does this mean? Why won't he talk to me?
I know one of you is going to say 'go talk to him', but I'm afraid that the convo would be very awkward cosidering this staring-game has been going on for months and I know not one single thing about him or anything, really.

Hahaha this is funny cuz' this is precisely what has happened to me recently. There was this cute girl who I think was checking me out for a while. Unfortunatly, like the boy you are talking about, I am horribly shy at meeting girls. And yes, I never did anything, so she stopped looking at me after a while. I honestly can't stand being to shy to talk to a girl who might like me, and I've blown countless opportunities to be with really great girls. Most relationships I've had were because the girls first aproached me, but yes I know I need to grow some balls :)
My point.......talk to him, cuz' he's probly just like me.

The first thing you have to understand is that girls and guys are completley different. I know you already know that but it explains everything. This guy is on your mind and he gives you a simple gesture . In his mind it means nothing, in your mind you think it is a sign. This guy could be really shy , and as soon as he heard that you were looking back too he might have felt like he has failed(sounds lame , I know, but bear with me) or something so he gave up probably out of embarassment. All I know is that maybe you guys can be good friends in the near future . You never know.

Try finding out if he does any sports or anything. Try and meet him through his friends...In HS everyone is connected to everyone somehow. Go show an interest in him and he will eventually come up to you or youll just run into eachother though your mutual friends (which was part of your strategy. :-) )
If you do group work try and get in his group...just find an excuse to talk to him thats not..... "I think your hot" ... ha...cause that can be hard.
Seeminly stupid converstations could be the ones that send you on your way.

Maybe he likes looking at you because you're hot. But doesn't want to talk to you because he thinks you're dumb.
