quite an intelligent charismatic man , Founder of the Church of Satan many think of him as a devil worshipper however the the thing that La Vey worshipped or deified was the human ego and libido , very interesting take on a spritual concept , unfortunately he seemed to loose interest in his own ideas in later life

I think the premise that society is unproductive insomuch as we spend all our time bottling up and fighting our dark sides rather than allowing periodic vent to them is an interesting thought--but it has always really felt a lot more like pop-psychology to me rather than "satanism". It really seems like he had some ideas, but no one really paid them (or him) a lot of mind and so he started screaming "devil! devil!" and suddenly he gets himself both notoriety and a worldwide church. I think that really says a lot about us as a society. We seem to care a lot more about labels than substance. Nonetheless an interesting guy.

I have no real thoughts. I only know that he worships Satan. Why he chose that I do know now. I guess he is just another guy who is mad at God because God calls us to walk in light. Some folks just like the dark.

I think the concept of an Atheistic group using Satan as their symbol is silly.

The only reason I see for doing it is to piss off and scare Christians, which is not such a bad thing but I would not dedicate my self to doing it.

.......The Christians above me clearly have no idea what the Church of Satan is.... ignorance

It's sad he wasted his earthly life professing a love of Satan. Eternity is a very long time to think about a mistake.

Meh... a one-trick pony.

The philosophy is interesting to read for 20 minutes, then it's just childish.

Well, I havent done much research, though I know he is the founder of the church of satan. Satanism never did much for me, but hey, whatever floats your boat my friend. If you think its right for you, then go for it :) Oh, and for stupid people, The church of satan does not worship satan himself. Get some knowledge before you assume
