Hi; my father and I were in a debate that in the bible there is nowhere that it saids that he has to mantain me. He was just idding right, but he showed me and everything. Though the bible he used was in spanish, but I think it was in Genesis that it said, create and multiply, something like that.... Could someone tell me where does it say that he has to mantain me?

Thnx

The Old Testament of the Bible is very anti-child. There is a passage that cites the reasons a child should be stoned to death! It has several verses which advocate beating children. The Bible is a very bad book to use as a child-rearng manual.
There are laws in the US which make parents responsible for the welfare of their children,

Be fruitful and multiply.
Train you kids in the ways of the Lord...
Old Jewish custom had it that the father could not approve a son taking a bride home until the home was ready and he was fit to take care of her as a husband. It was the father's responsibility to train his son for this purpose, if this came to pass.
It would make sense for mother and daughters as well.

nicely if Jonah lived in a Whale shall we all favor one. more low-priced than getting a loan and it would want to maintain all the Whales who're almost extinct. And might want to Adam extremely provide up a rib to get the female of his determination. there have been no chinese takeaways round in lately so I doubt it. If technology is so impressive lately, why will all of us not replace water into wine?

lmao! A typical guy question... It's written in the stars, honey. The Bible can't contain everything, it would take volumes filling the galaxy to tell you everything. God gave common sense and a brain, too, to help you.

"Fathers, provoke not they children to wrath." If you do not take care of your children, you are provoking them to wrath. I believe it's in Ephesians 5, or thereabouts.

Your father needs to get right with God if he is at all serious about this. "What father, if his son asks him for bread, would give him a stone?" The idea is that a father does provide for his child and it is expected of him by God.

God Bless,

Sue

well it talks about 'train a child in the way he should go & when he is old he will not depart from it' ...it takes time to train a child so i guess one couldnt have a kid and just lay em on a curb when they're little. there are other examples about raising children too.
