Me and a friend became very close, and became very attracted to one another, So after a couple of drinks i made a few jokes about spending the night together, it wasnt out of the norm. Next time i saw him he flirted with me a little but then started to avoid me, why the change. Is this his way of saying nothing is going to happen or is he going through somthing i dont know about? Is what i said related to him avoiding me. He started all this flirting and touching, i know he is attracted to me so whats the problem!

Perhaps he wanted to see how easy you can be.
*sorry for the forwardness*.
Just leave him alone, and hope once he sees your serious side.he may want to know you all over again.
Than again this depends,do you just want a sexual thing with him,or a serious relationship.
Most men do not want just a fling,so be careful here.
Take care

I used to do the same thing until I found out how much it bothered women. It was my way of making sure she was "out to get me" and making sure I was not simply trying too hard to get her. With me it was a safety net, but women protested. I now know that if they want something they will say so. If they don't, they won't. What ended up happening in my situation is women would insist that I revert to my more touchy feely self, which I often feared was the self that was taking advantage of the friendship. Maybe it is something like that?

Men are much the same as women and it takes alot of courage to talk to a girl(from a mans point of view) so if you talk to him about it a bit more maybe he will open up with his true feelings. I'm not saying that its going to work but its worth a try right!

Just talk to him. But whatever you do, DONT tell him he's been acting weird. Guys hate it when you tell them that, because they dont think there is anything wrong. It will only make things worse if you tell him he's been acting weird or that he's been acting differently.

You are his friend and that's all he wants. Find someone else to flirt with.

he might have thought he was ready for you two to take the next step, but when you mentioned it, he might have gotten cold feet. talk to him about it. ask him why he's becoming distant.
