Not sure if most dogs in those breeds are nice to cats, but that is a list of breeds of small dogs.

There are hundreds of small dog breeds.

Animals will be animals. Some dogs obviously are better suited for life with cats. Terriers for example that were bred for hunting small critters such as rodents may not fair so well living with a cat.

I, however, own a JRT mix and two kitties. It's a struggle sometimes with the mutt chasing the cats, but we are one big happy family and everyone knows their place. My advice is to make sure that your kitties always have an "out". A place where they can go to escape oan overzealous puppy.

I have two pugs and they get along great with all sorts of animals. Other dogs (big and small), cats, even the racoon in my back yard - even though I try to keep them away from him. They are also great with children and the elderly, and the average size is about 15 - 25 pounds.

Any type of dog will do just as long as you get it as a puppy maybe about 2-3 months let the cats get to no the puppy and soon enough they will become good friends just as long as your cats like dogs =)

Good Luck

Maltese teacups are small dogs. I would recommend a girl though. Weve had both and the girls seeemed less fierce. If you have a cat, i would not recomened a boy because he would like to "fight" with him and the cat might not like it. If you get a malstese girl you wont regret it. If maltese arnt your thing, try a yorkie but their kinda frisky.GOOD LUCK

Pugs are nice, small, seem to get along fine with cats, and have a good personality.

i don't be attentive to if an italian greyhound might delight in a cat because of the fact they're so docile and cats may be, nicely, pissy. i might advise adopting an person cat who's favourite to get alongside nicely with dogs so it is no longer rude with yours.

My female Llaso Apso liked our cat so much, that when the cat had kittens and would take a break from her box, she would get into the box with the kittens and nurse them. It was way cute.

PLEASE!!!! be very careful with this i have a female dog, she's been with me for more than 2 years..i got some kitties from a neighbor that found them in the dumpster...anyways outta the no where she killed one...it was so devastating for me til this day..i cry. the thing is that it was a total chock, when she did this because she is so loving and shy, i have another one that i always kept an eye on, because i did expect it from her. til this day i feel so horroble and sorry for underestimating her, on killing. its best for them to grow together
