You can clear up that sore throat faster if you take a little sip of antiseptic mouthwash from time to time. Just a little sip. Like half a teaspoon full. What that does when you swallow it is to instantly kill all the additional bacteria in your lower throat that gargling or rinsing just can't reach, and thereby speeds up the healing time so you get better quicker. Little sips - maybe one like every four hours. It doesn't take much because it kills all that deeper bacteria instantly. Hot tea with very little honey in it and no milk, of course, will help you flush everything through quicker, too. I hope you get better before Friday. Take good care now. aaaw hun...I know how you feel!!

I take 1000mg of Vitamin C twice a day (as a preventative), but start taking it now as your body loses it very quickly...

Honey and lemon....(YUK)hehe but it's so good for you. Try manuka honey with half squeezed lemon and chuck in the rind and pour boiled water in a glass, stir and drink....it will make you feel better....not sure why!!!!!

I always take Sudofed (cold and flu).....it makes you feel human;)

The best fruit to eat - KIWIS (they contain more vit C than strawberries and oranges put together)!

Make soup - just chuck a load of veg in saucepan (spinach is good) and try and chuck in a load of lentils and beans, as many as possible (even if you don't like 'em), boil and add a couple of stock cubes.....you can blend or leave, either way you will be back on yer feet in no time!!;o}

As for the rash, it could be a way of your body trying to rid itself of the virus/germs in your body via the skin?!? Sorry! not too sure about that, but if it's not gone when the cold has....make an appointment with your doctor.

Wishing you well n back on yer feet:-] X

If you have a rash you should see the doctor. In the mean time drink plenty of fluids, take the correct dose of paracetamol but if you do please don't take any Lem Sip or anything else that contains paracetamol as you can easily overdose, not a good idea. Have a warm bath and then wrap up in bed with a hot drink. Get plenty of rest.

Aspirin, caffeine and vitamin C.

Easiest way - Beechams Powders

Cheapest way - aspirin, pro-plus (or strong coffee I suppose) and an orange.

Aspirin & caffeine will help you cope with the symptoms and vitamin C will help get rid of the virus.

Did you know that when you have a cold the body actively dumps vitamin C and the virus inhibits its absorbtion?

Something tells me that the cold virus somehow KNOWS that vitamin C is bad for it!

Don't even want to get into the story of the rash!!!

Colds germs are highly heat sensitive. Basically, anything that you can do to sweat it out will help.

There's no cure, OK.
I mix lemon juice, rum (any booze), 3 cloves and a little sugar in a steaming mug of hot water.
Drink it as hot as you can, without burning yourself.
Then go to bed and get some good sleep.
