I was going to ask a girl I really like to homecoming, but she wouldn't let me. She kept avoiding me. She even hung up on me when I called her to ask her. I know she knew I was going to ask her, but she wouldn't let me ask her. Why didn't she just answer me? Why wouldn't she let me ask?

Because she didn't want to go with you and didn't want to tell you because she was embarrassed or afraid to.

Most girls think that by avoiding guys, they will avoid rejecting them and making them feel bad. My best guess is that she doesn't feel the same way you do about her, but she still cares enough about you that she doesn't want to flat out reject you and risk losing your friendship

i'm sorry....but maybe she's not interested and doesn't know how to tell you the truth cos she mite be a really good friend and she's afraid how you'd react it if she said no...trust me. i'd know. cos i'm in the same situation rite now.
